# AI assistants

TrackForge runs a public server that an AI assistant can connect to. Once it is connected, you ask the assistant in plain words and it gets the answer from TrackForge. There is no account to create and no key to copy.

## What you can ask for

- **A catalogue check.** Up to 50 recordings at a time, by ISRC. For each one you get whether The MLC has a work linked to it and whether any share is unclaimed.
- **One recording and its song.** The writers and publishers with their IPI numbers, the song's ISWC and its first release, as MusicBrainz records them. You can give an ISRC, a Spotify link, a title or a YouTube link.
- **A CWR file check.** Paste a CWR 2.1 file of up to 256 KB. Each error and warning comes back with its line and how to fix it.
- **A follow-up from a person at TrackForge.** Only when you ask for one and agree to be contacted. The assistant records your request; no report is made automatically.

Every answer is a finding from registration data, with the date it is true as of. It is not legal advice and not a statement of who owns a song.

## Where to go next

- [Set up your assistant](https://trackforge.studio/mcp): the server address, the steps for Claude and ChatGPT, and example questions and answers.
- [MCP server](/docs/ai-assistants/mcp-server): every tool, the settings any assistant needs, how to read each verdict, where the data comes from, and the limits.
