# Liability & Risk Boundaries

TrackForge certification is a process-fidelity statement, not a legal ownership guarantee.

## Core Boundary

The certificate records that the stated methodology was applied to the stated evidence snapshot. It does not state that all upstream sources are complete, that no future claimant exists, or that every society in the world has been directly checked.

## Foreseeable Risks

| Risk | Boundary |
|---|---|
| Upstream source error | Certification records the process and evidence available at the time. |
| Later transfer or correction | Later changes require a later rating event. |
| Out-of-scope society issue | Current direct certification scope is UK/US unless stated otherwise. |
| Legal ownership dispute | Certificate is not a legal opinion or title guarantee. |
| Pending proof state | Pending anchoring must not be treated as confirmed. |

## Reliance

Reliance should be based on the methodology version, jurisdictional scope, evidence snapshot, proof state, and any explicit limitations on the certificate.
