# Catalogue rating

TrackForge's catalogue rating replaces the first-generation (v1.1) certification method, which stopped being issued on 25 October 2026. Its rule book, v2.4, is a draft under calibration; no rating has been issued under it yet.

- **[Method statement](/docs/certification/rating/method-statement)**
The whole method in plain English: what is surveyed, the five components, how works are weighted, how the letter is read and capped, estimated inputs, money, sources, what is not checked, and what each letter means.
- **[Glossary: rating terms](/docs/certification/rating/glossary)**
Every term a Rating Report uses, with what it means, what it does not mean, and who each reason a work is not checked sits with.
- **[What a TrackForge rating is](/docs/certification/rating/what-a-rating-is)**
A work is a property and the catalogue a portfolio: leaks, risks and opportunities.
- **[The five components and their weights](/docs/certification/rating/components)**
Identity, title, registration, collection and risk, and how each is scored.
- **[Levels](/docs/certification/rating/levels)**
Tier 0 catalogue check (no letter), tier 1 catalogue rating, tier 2 asset integrity assessment.
- **[Routes, rights positions and "not checked"](/docs/certification/rating/routes-and-positions)**
Scope by collecting route, one survey per rights position, and the six reasons a work is not checked.
- **[Reading the rating: the tuple](/docs/certification/rating/the-tuple)**
The letter is never shown alone: every field of the rating and what it tells you.
- **[In flight](/docs/certification/rating/in-flight)**
The actual letter, the projected letter and the outlook.
- **[Re-rating](/docs/certification/rating/re-rating)**
Ratings as dated, immutable events under a versioned rule book.
- **[For lawyers: scope and independence](/docs/certification/rating/scope-and-independence)**
What a rating asserts and refuses, and who did the fixing.
- **[Data handling](/docs/certification/rating/data-handling)**
What crosses from the Workspace to the rating, and what never does.
