title: Bring in a draft from the Workbench
description: "Bring a draft you saved from the CWR Workbench into your Workspace, after checking where it will go."
keywords: [Workbench, draft, handoff, save to workspace, pending draft, add this Workbench draft]

The [CWR Workbench](https://trackforge.studio/cwr-tool) is TrackForge's free public tool for building a CWR file. When you choose **Save to workspace** there, your draft waits in the Workspace for you to confirm. Nothing is added until you do.

## Before you start

- Stay in the same browser tab. The Workbench passes the draft to the Workspace through that tab. If you close it, or open the Workspace in another tab or browser, the draft is not there: go back to the Workbench and choose **Save to workspace** again.
- You need to be able to edit the workspace. With view-only access the screen tells you to choose a workspace where you can edit, or to discard the draft.
- Act within 24 hours. After that the draft expires, but the draft in the Workbench is unchanged.

## Steps

1. In the Workbench, choose **Save to workspace**. The Workspace opens with **Add this Workbench draft?**.
2. Read the destination. It gives the number of works and says they go into the selected catalogue. If you belong to more than one workspace, choose the right one first. The draft stays waiting while you do. To change the catalogue, see [Several catalogues](/docs/workspace/catalogue/several-catalogues).
3. Check the list. Each work shows its title, or "Untitled work" with a number if it has none, and how many writers it has.
4. Choose the button that begins **Add**. It reads Add work for one work and counts them for more. The button reads **Adding draft…** while it works.
5. A message at the top of the catalogue says how many works were added and to which catalogue. They now appear in your saved works.

To leave the draft out, choose **Cancel**. That removes only this hand-over. The draft in the Workbench stays where it is.

## If something goes wrong

- **No longer available in this browser.** Go back to the Workbench and choose **Save to workspace** again.
- **Expired after 24 hours.** Start **Save to workspace** again.
- **Opened by another account.** A draft belongs to the first account that opens it in that browser. Sign back into that account, or choose **Remove this handoff**.
- **The browser could not protect the draft.** Return to the Workbench and try again.
- **Adding stopped part-way.** Works already added are safe. Try again to finish the rest. Trying again never makes duplicates.
